Generating Game Codes

Game codes let you distribute access to your games without requiring buyers to go through the purchase flow. Ideal for giveaways, review copies, press kits, and promotional events.

Cost

Each game code costs 1 credit. You can generate 1–100 codes at a time.

Generating Codes

1. Go to Store Pages (/seller/store-pages)
2. Click on the store page you want to generate codes for
3. Navigate to Codes (/seller/store-pages/{id}/codes)
4. Enter the number of codes to generate (1–100)
5. Click Generate

The codes are created immediately and displayed on the page.

What Each Code Grants

Each code gives the redeemer access to all games in the store page's bundle — the same as if they had purchased from the store page.

How Codes Are Redeemed

Codes can be redeemed in several ways:

1. With an account: The redeemer visits /claim, enters the code, and the games are added to their library
2. Without an account: The redeemer provides an email and receives access instructions
3. One-time play: Visit /claim/{code}/play to play an HTML5 game immediately

Managing Codes

From the codes page (/seller/store-pages/{id}/codes), you can see:

• All generated codes
• Which codes have been claimed
• When each code was created

Use Cases
